Nina Dorliak commemoration evening at Central House of Actor

So this spring, a commemoration evening of Nina Lvovna Dorliak, professor at the Moscow Conservatory was held within the framework of the Society actions.

Bright representative of the Russian intellectual elite, a person of high general and musical culture, a unique chamber singer and vocal teacher, she brought up several generations of excellent vocalists.

Professor Galina Pisarenko, president of the Moscow Mozart Society, is a direct progeny of her late teacher Mrs. Dorliak, maintaining her singing and teaching traditions that can be traced back as far as to Pauline Viardot and Manuel Garcia. Elena Bryleva, soloist of the Bolshoi Theater and the Düsseldorf Opera, a former Dorliak’s student, took part in the commemoration concert. Among other performers were Elena Guseva, Galina Pisarenko’s graduate, soloist of the Moscow Academic Musical Theatre of Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko and current students of Galina Pisarenko’s class.

Professor Andrei Zolotov, Galina Konovalova, actress of the Eugene Vakhtangov Theatre, and Irina Kirillova, professor of the Moscow State Conservatory shared their memories of Nina Dorliak.
